I am a mother of two beautiful little girls, qualified Drama teacher and committed Christian. I love to read, love the sunshine and long walks. Privileged to be married to Sean for nearly four years now.
I have been designing and making beaded jewellery since 2006. It began as a hobby and quickly became an obsession! Before long I was making more than I could wear or give away as gifts so I decided to start selling it in order to pay for all the lovely new beads I am always wanting to buy!
I love to use flower beads in my work and handmade lampwork beads too and have just discovered some fab boro lampwork beads so look out for them appearing in my new items. I really enjoy making beaded charm bracelets and have just learnt a new technique for making garland necklaces which are so stunning I want to keep each new one I make!
In 2005 my daughter Matilda was stillborn. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I remain determined that in some small way some good will come out of it. So I decided that a percentage of the price of every item I sell would be donated to the Baby Loss Awareness campaign as the charities they support are so vital.
When I lost Matilda I searched everywhere for a piece of jewellery to wear in memory of her. I found lots of Baby Loss items being sold in America but nothing over here. It seemed obvious the that I should start to make Baby Loss jewellery myself. And so I created my Baby Loss range in August 2007. I hope these items bring comfort twice - first directly to the person who buys them and secondly indirectly to the people helped by the donation made to the Baby Loss charities.
In my shop you will find lots more than just Baby Loss jewellery though. Do have a look as there will be something for everyone. Treat yourself or stock up on gifts. Lots of items can be personalised and I'm happy to accept commissions if you can't find exactly what you're looking for.
My jewellery making skills have really begun to develop in the last few months so do watch out for many more exciting items and lines being added in the weeks to come.
Hope I have the pleasure of selling to you soon.
Best wishes, Abi xxx
